Happy Birthday C.J.

My little man turned six today. I can't believe it's been six years. His party will be next week because unlike the girls, who pestered me daily for weeks about their birthday, he couldn't care less. When I asked him yesterday, "What's tomorrow, C.J.?" he responded with {lengthy pause}..."Ummm....Wednesday?" Yes, C.J. - Wednesday. "And what else?" I prodded. {Another lengthy pause}..."My birthday!" He's definitely his father's son. Without the constant reminders, I failed to get invitations out in time for a party today. Oh, well - there are no accidents. :O)

In honor of my awesome kid, here's an awesome picture:

{This is what happens when you leave your camera unattended.}

And finally, six reasons I love C.J.:
  1. He has a very tender heart and is genuinely caring and kind.
  2. He gives me amazing hugs and kisses.
  3. He is a good big brother and so helpful around the house.
  4. He is very smart and loves to read.
  5. He is hilariously funny.
  6. He is a miniature Greg.

Seeing as how my wife referred to C.J. as a miniature Greg, and then posts a picture of a child who looks to be caught in the middle of a "Saturday Night Fever" dance move I would like to speak up...

Due to his current pose, one cannot clearly see what is on his shirt, so please allow me to describe...It is a picture of Spiderman (a comic worthy enough to be anyone's hero) in the same pose held by Mini-Me.

So I would simply ask that no one picture me dancing around my house, wearing a white jump-suit, listening to John Travolta.

Thank you!

Happy birthday CJ!(little Greg for sure!!) I hope he had a great day! He is such a cutie. I loved it when he would just run to me and give me a great big hug out of the blue. I don't get that much when I'm a stranger to my nieces and nephews. Reminds me of someone else I know....
Don't we have a picture of you with that same pose?(not in a white suit!!)

Hey Janet -
I got your msg. but will call you next week maybe. my family from ny is in town to visit so we're busy doing stuff with them. Mike's post about divorce was for a friend of his that's getting divorced not us...but thanks for the concern. Yeah, I'm prego again and have put off even planning for it much during the holidays and such because I also got put in as yw pres. at the beginning of dec. and have been trying to get that all in order....it's crazy. But, we'll have to talk. How's your little guy doing? He had the same condition as one of my nephews did...that's so weird. Hope you're all well. LOve ya!

I was just starring at that family photo you have and thinking how beautiful your kids are. Can't say the same about Greg (JK). Really, you guys are very blessed. Hope your little guy is doing ok.

Oh, Happy Birthday CJ!! I am soo bad at remembering b-days anymore! I barely get my own kids, and that is because they remind me constantly! We were so crazy around Emma's b-day, we kind of missed it. So, about a month later we did a cake and took pictures so she wouldn't need as much therapy. I know soo sad. CJ is definitely Greg, but I swear Greg was more hyper! CJ is soo calm. no? Anyway, it was great seeing you guys!! Love you!1

Yay!! Happy Bday to CJ! These kids grow up way too fast. :) Just out of curiosity, what does CJ stand for? Or is his name simply CJ? Yeah, just me being random, sorry. Hope he had a great day!!

It stands for Caleb Jay. His middle name is Richard. I know, how silly to have two middle names. There was quite a discusison about whether or not to just have his name be CJ, but then there would be no periods because it wouldn't be short for anything. So it's Caleb Jay Richard Barton.
